How can I help?

Sparks Aviation Foundation wants to encourage new blood in general aviation. It is looking for students who want to learn to fly and people who want to help make dreams come true by donating funds for scholarships and ground school or even flight lessons.

Thank You!

This is a very exciting time right now. In just over 3 weeks, I'll be heading out to Hawaii to participate in a 26 day yoga teacher training intensive. It's amazing how things come together. Now that I'm reaching the final stretch, I'm digging deep and asking for some more help. Through generous friends and the overwhelming generosity of my teacher, I have raised 00 since March. I'm so grateful and am really impressed with just how giving the Universe/God or whatever you choose to call the Creator is. I'm in awe. I've also found a job that pays pretty well. Recently, my job has offered lots of overtime. And I'm happy to say that I'll be able to pay my tuition and room and board. So, why am I asking for money? Airfare! I'd need to get to Hawaii in order to participate. Also, I need to buy a tent for me to live in. Kundalini Yoga changed my life. I am so eager to share what I've learned with everyone. I'm especially excited to help women and girls who have survived rape and sexual abuse reclaim their bodies through the technology that is Kundalini Yoga. The total cost of tuition, tent site and meals including airfare is 00. I only need another 00 to pay for my flight and tent. Thank you so much for reading this posting.

Many Blessings!

About mrsKAT

I have been married for a year.  My husband is a veteran and medically discharged from the Air Force.  We have a 20 month old and a baby on the way.  We are currently in Maryland with no income.  We used our tax return to fly here from our home in Montana so that I could meet his family and so they could meet our son.  It has been a very good trip.  We didn't have money to survive here but we have been staying with his parents and they have been extremely helpful.  They have fed our family and given us gas money when needed and have been amazing.  Our tickets home have not been purchased due to lack of money.  My husband was hoping to work his old job for a few weeks while we were here to earn cash and they are not hiring so that plan fell through.  I am not sure how we will get home and so I am asking for someone to help.  The bigger problem is he woke up this morning and his tooth has absessed.  His step-mother paid for him to go to the dentist and get antibiotics but the dentist said the tooth needs to be pulled ASAP. we cant afford that either.  His parents cannot afford to give us money in that amount.  His dad is trying of course but I would like to be able to just take care of it and not put his family under any more financial strain.  If someone could please help us in the next couple days it would be such a life saver.  I know this is not the most urgent plea but it is urgent for my family.  Thank you in advance for your kindness.  The dental procedure is $200 and the cheepest plane tickets I can find are $472 per person.  I only need 2 tickets, my son is young enough to ride in my lap.  We are looking into train transportation but we are having trouble getting to where we need to be in Montana.

About lizie33

Me and my family are looking to relocate to Argentina and we are looking for the cheapest way to ship or send some of our belongings over to Buenos Aires.  Can anybody offer any advice on where to go for help with traveling?  It's a big move, and it looks like we need a lot of resources?  Any tips on checking extra baggage on flights?  Which international flights have the cheapest rates for extra baggage?  Or is there a website that I can check out which can help this move easier?

Flight Lessons

Hi,

It has always been my dream to become a pilot

I'm 16 and am working very hard on trying to find opportunities

to get my license. I come from a low-income family and am working

at a part time job and teaching guitar lessons to try and get money for

flight lessons, but I'm not even coming close to getting enough money for

even the equipment needed for lessons, does anyone know of any scholarships or grants

or any possible way for financial aid? Thank you.

About ickpick

I'm an Australian girl who moved to the UK with my (now ex) partner when I was 22. We split up and I was left to fend for myself in the UK without any means to get back to Australia... I've had a job since I first arrived in the UK, and maintained being employed here for almost 3 years now continuously.

I now find myself both alone (my partner has removed me from the house and is seeing someone else), unemployed, unable to claim benefits / social security because I am Australian. I have the equivalent of £10 / $20 left to my name, and no one will employ me (although I have experience, references and qualifications) because I only have 4 months left on my visa - they do not see it as viable to employ me for such a short period of time.

I found out last week that I am pregnant to a guy I have been seeing. He cannot support me, he is only 19, does not have a job, and lives in an area of the UK with high unemployment, and doesn't have the money to move somewhere else in the UK where he might be more likely to get a job as he only gets £90 a fortnight from benefits.

Basically, I just want to get home. Ideally, I would like the father of the baby to come too although he would need a visa. I need £650 for a flight to get me alone home. He would need £660 for the visa and again £650 for his flight.

I also have all my possessions here and no money to pack them / move them to Australia however I am keen to sell as much as I can. I've been trying to sell anything of any worth (cosmetics, perfume, jewellry - I don't have much valuable things) on Ebay and stuff but it's not having great results.

My parents don't have the money to help us, nor do his, and at the end of the day I just want to go home so I can have the baby. I want him to come desperately however we've already agreed that maybe he can come later and just I go home for now, but either way I need to get some way to get home before May else I will be deported and will be over 5 months pregnant by May.

Need a Grant for Flight School

Hi.  I am looking for a grant for my son to go to flight school.  While he was in high school, he was in ROTC and had planned to enter the military as an officer and learn to fly.  This was cut short as he battled cancer.  It has now been over 10 years since his cancer and he has been medically cleared to fly.

During his treatments he did learn to fly and did receive his private pilots license.  He would like to follow his dream and be a commercial pilot and an instructor.  We have a good flight school where we live, I just need to find the $60,000.00 to send him to school.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I love to fly

Hello I am 25yrs of age and own a house with my wife. I work a easy job in maintenance . Before that I was a welder/fab for about 6yrs. And enjoyed that, but a year ago I decided that I want more out of my life then just to have a job I wanted to do something that I liked to do for a living. I wanted to learn how to fly. I think a lot of people do, But I never really took the chance to do it. Until last march when I woke up one day and said, I need more then this, I took flying lessons and just this past November I got Privet pilots certificate. After that all I wanted to do is fly for a living, I needed other certificates, but where I took my lessons at didn’t really have any type of student aid . I got my loan from Salliemae, and when I went back to get my second one they would only cover so much. I could have took a bank loan but I would not be able to go to work full time and school and have another mouthy payment. There is a lot of endorsements that I need if I want to make a career out of it, instrument rating, CFI, CFII, commercial, and multi engine. You need about 1200 to 1300 hundred hours just to even be considered to work at most places. I would get around 400hrs just in that training alone and pick up the rest instructing that’s where the CFI and CFII come in at. This is something I have the drive to complete, But right now my wife is going to school for a PA, and she has a few more tears left. After that even though she will have real good career ahead of her we will still have a some amount of student loans to pay along with mine. Continuing a person’s education hard to do when money is a big part of it. I just want to better my self. I am not looking to be rich or to find some one to pay my bills my whole life, just a hand up in life. I do all the hard work, not afraid of that.
Thanks for taken a moment of your time.
